What We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the Service:

  • Account information: Email address and display name, provided when you sign in. Your email is never shown publicly.
  • Content you create: Templates, rendered pages, and the data you enter to generate them.
  • Connection metadata (hashed): When you create a template or page, we store a one-way cryptographic hash derived from your IP address and browser identifier. We do not store your raw IP address or browser fingerprint. This hash is used solely for abuse detection and content moderation.
  • Cookies: We set one functional cookie (dg_uid) to keep you signed in. It contains only your account ID. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party cookies.

What We Do Not Collect

  • We do not use analytics or tracking scripts
  • We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties
  • We do not serve advertisements
  • We do not use your content to train AI models

How We Use Your Data

  • Account data: To provide sign-in functionality and associate content with your account
  • Content: To render and serve the pages you create
  • Connection hashes: To detect and respond to abuse, spam, or Terms of Service violations
  • Cookies: To maintain your authenticated session

Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained as long as your account exists. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
  • Content (templates and pages): Retained until you delete it from your dashboard, or until we remove it for policy violations.
  • Connection hashes: Retained for 180 days, then automatically deleted.
  • Cookies: The authentication cookie expires after 90 days of inactivity.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data — your dashboard shows all content associated with your account
  • Delete your content — use the dashboard to remove templates and pages at any time
  • Delete your account — contact us at [email protected] and we will delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your data — contact us and we will provide a copy of your data in a standard format

If you are in the European Union, these rights are guaranteed under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are in California, you have similar rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Data Security

All connections to DesignGenerate are encrypted via HTTPS. User-generated pages are served with strict security headers that prevent script execution and unauthorized embedding. Connection metadata is stored as irreversible hashes, not raw values.

Children

DesignGenerate is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
