From Idea to Published Page: A Complete Guide

Everything you need to know about creating, customizing, and managing your pages on DesignGenerate.

Whether you're building your first page or your tenth, this guide covers everything DesignGenerate can do.

Step 1: Choose Your Starting Point

You have three options:

  1. Browse templates — Pick from dozens of ready-made designs in the template library
  2. Use AI — Copy a prompt from the homepage, paste it into any AI chat, and get a custom design
  3. Build from scratch — Write your own HTML template on the upload page using placeholders like {{name:string}}

Step 2: Add Your Content

Every template has a Use This Template button that opens a form generated from the template's structure. Fill in each field — names, descriptions, links, images — and see it come together.

Prefer working with data? Switch to JSON mode and paste a JSON object with all your values at once. This is especially useful if you're generating content with AI.

Step 3: Set Your URL

Before publishing, you can set a custom URL. Keep it short and relevant — this is the link you'll share everywhere.

Step 4: Publish

Click Generate My Page and your page is live instantly. No build step, no deployment, no waiting.

Managing Your Pages

Sign in to access your dashboard, where you can:

  • View all your published pages
  • Rename page URLs
  • Delete pages you no longer need
  • Browse your starred templates

Updating a Page

Want to change something? Generate a new page from the same template with updated content, then delete the old one from your dashboard. Or create a new page with the same custom URL after deleting the old one.

Tips

  • Star templates you like — you'll find them in your dashboard for quick access
  • Use custom URLs/s/my-project is easier to remember than a generated slug
  • Check on mobile — always verify your page looks good on a phone before sharing
